Michelle Smith, DVM, CVMA, CVC, CCRT
Dr. Michelle Smith graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999, followed by a one-year internship in Critical Care and Emergency medicine at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital in Denver. She moved to Colorado Springs in 2000, and has been happy to call the city home ever since.
Over the past 18 years Dr. Smith has enjoyed providing veterinary services to the Colorado Springs animal community across a broad spectrum of veterinary medicine including; the expansive and challenging world of general practice, the critically rapid pace of emergency medicine, as well as additional treatment options through the evolving integrative medicine path.
Dr. Smith’s pursuit of advanced training and certification in integrative medicine has been ongoing since 2006 when she completed the Colorado State University Medical Approach to Veterinary Acupuncture program. In 2010 Dr. Smith completed the Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine Certification for Acupuncture at the Chi Institute, and in 2013 trained and certified in chiropractic care at Options for Animals. Dr. Smith is currently completing her Veterinary Rehabilitation License through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute to further her focus and knowledge on techniques for strengthening the musculoskeletal system and managing pain.
Dr. Smith is excited to be a part of the CCOR team and devote her energy and attention to the integrative medicine path.
